Grassroots Partnership Program

The grassroots organizations we partner with receive grants, relationship-building opportunities, and access to ongoing funding to support their initiatives. We also provide a platform for them to share their mission and goals with our audiences at events.

Subsidized Climbing Gym Membership Program

Climbing gyms offer both a positive physical outlet and a vibrant social space, and we believe financial privilege shouldn’t be a barrier to access.

In collaboration with Long Beach Rising—a Southern California climbing gym and the birthplace of All Rise Outdoors—we offer a pay-what-you-can membership program.

As of December 2024, the program has over 300 active members, and our goal is to expand access to more gyms in 2025.

Individual Grant Program

We offer grants to help individuals with financial barriers pursue their outdoor goals. Whether it's gaining certifications, attending workshops, covering permit fees, travel expenses, gas money, or even a simple camping trip with friends, our grants make outdoor experiences and education more accessible.

This program is dedicated to supporting personal growth, even when the focus isn’t directly on community impact—because we believe that by investing in themselves, individuals ultimately help strengthen their communities.

If financial constraints have made it difficult to pursue an outdoor adventure or learning opportunity, we encourage you to apply!

Free-To-Climb Bouldering Wall at LBR

The idea for All Rise Outdoors originated when its co-founders built a dedicated, stand-alone community climbing wall at Long Beach Rising (LBR) — a rock climbing gym in Southern California.

This wall, still in use today, is free to climb, with rental shoes provided at no cost.

The original mission is also still standing: help promote and foster a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts by giving marginalized communities access to equipment, gyms, classes, and education. The future of climbing should not be dictated by your financial means!
